The application of titanium alloy in human joints
Industry News 2024-08-22

Biomedical titanium alloy materials are functional structural materials used in biomedical engineering. They have excellent biocompatibility, corrosion resistance and high strength.

Applications include hip joints, knee joints, bone plates, dental implants, and cardiovascular stents. The elastic modulus of titanium alloys is closer to human bone compared to stainless steel or cobalt-chromium alloys, reducing stress shielding effects.
