Nickel Nickel (niè), English name Nickel, element symbol Ni, located in the fourth period, eighth group, atomic number 28. Nickel is a silvery white metal with good mechanical strength and ductility. It is insoluble in water, has strong corrosion resistance to acids and alkalis, and is resistant to high temperatures. The melting point is 1455℃, and the boiling point is 2730℃.
